Kimberly Johansen’s diverse experience in healthcare provides her with a unique set of skills and expertise that she brings to her role as a Licensed Practical Nurse. As an EMT-B/Firefighter, she gained invaluable experience in emergency situations and developed her ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in high-pressure environments.
Since graduating from Nursing School in 2008, Kimberly has continued to hone her skills, working in a variety of healthcare settings. She has worked in secure units and alongside physicians doing orders and procedures, where she gained a deep understanding of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and the intricacies of the healthcare system.
Kimberly has also spent considerable time triaging for Pediatrics under five physicians, where she developed her ability to assess and treat wide range of illnesses and injuries in young patients. Her experience as a Covid liaison and mental health provider within the local school system has given her a unique perspective on the challenges of providing care in non-traditional settings, and she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of effective communication, patient advocacy, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
At Vaughan & Vaughan Law Firm, Kimberly is responsible for requesting medical records, reading each one, and putting together a comprehensive medical summary for many of our clients. Her extensive experience and expertise in medical record review and analysis make her an invaluable member of our team. Research must be conducted on each injury to identify any possible future complications and all existing injuries that insurance companies may try and disregard or brush under the rug. Kimberly is meticulous in her work to ensure that each client receives the best possible results.
Kimberly and her family moved to West Lafayette in 2016. Kimberly is passionate about helping clients and providing the best possible care. Her expertise in evident in every aspect of her work. When she’s not working, you’ll find her with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs making countless memories.
