Jillena graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While in law school, Jillena was a member of the University of Mississippi Trial Advocacy Board, where she was named Best Lawyer in the Southern Classic Tournament in 2021. Jillena was also sworn in for limited practice in the University of Mississippi Child Advocacy Clinic, a top 20 clinical program in the United States.
Jillena has a passion for litigation and found herself called to personal injury while in law school. Prior to joining the Vaughan and Vaughan team, Jillena coordinated and conducted jury focus groups, learning how to best present and litigate a personal injury case to maximize the recovery for her clients.
Jillena has devoted her life to becoming an advocate for others and is key to the efforts of personal injury litigation at Vaughan and Vaughan under the guidance of Attorney Charley Vaughan. In her first month working at Vaughan and Vaughan, Jillena built and prepped a file for mediation that settled for over $1 million. Jillena continuously helps implement technological advances for Vaughan & Vaughan that allow her clients to have better resolutions, faster, and for higher amounts. She regularly finds top-level experts to testify for her clients, and consistently finds ways to improve the firm.
Jillena enjoys traveling to new places, and hiking in the mountains with her family.
