All three auto ticketing measures failed to meet their advancement deadlines and have to be refiled in another session.
It is unclear how Indiana will address the speeding issue. The state’s top set speed limit is 70 mph. A speeding ticket can reach up to $200 under most circumstances, and the fine drastically increases for speeding in work zones.
Meanwhile, the fine for breaking the slow-poke law is up to $500. Under the law, a driver has to move out of the left-most, passing lane if there is another vehicle behind it.
